I am a French native speaker, really enthusiastic about teaching my language and sharing resources. I spent all my childhood in France. I moved to England eight years ago to do a Masters in Education and Modern Foreign Languages. I then did my teacher training (PGCE) in Modern Foreign languages, at King's College, in London and was in charge of the French department in a London private school for many years. I now teach and work as a Housemistress in a British school, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The challenge eggs are great for your early finishers or simply to motivate your students to work harder in class. I created them for language lessons but my slides are editable and could easily be adapted to any other subject.
When students finish their activity early or if they do something exceptional in class, they are allowed to pick a challenge egg and a fun and challenging activity is awaiting them! My students love them so I thought I would share the idea with you.
In this resource:
- All the egg fillers with plenty of activities
- An editable slide for you to write your own activities
- All the links to extra resources you need to buy, such as the eggs and the egg basket but also other G&T ideas
Plenty of ideas are written under each slide!! Do not forget to read them :-)
FREE resource ->>>> Thinking clouds
Showing progress - Assess learning - Use as a plenary - Target setting
A poster for the classroom with a booklet for students to keep in their folders.
Have a box in the classroom under your poster with plenty of thinking clouds or give a booklet to each student at the start of the year so they keep it in their folder.
I normally put an instruction on my power-point after an activity or at the end of a lesson and pupils know that they need to get a thinking cloud which is very fun for them. You can have different kind of instructions on the board such as:
- What have you learnt in the lesson
- Set yourself a target for next lesson
- How well did you do in that test
- What do you need to focus on
- Write down five new words you learnt today, how are you going to memorize them?
(check the sample slides I added to the resources, you can copy and paste it in your own power-point - easily editable).
Students then fill in their cloud and stick it after the activity, test or end of unit.
When you then check their books, you can observe the progress they have made throughout the term or year by reading the clouds.
There is a French version of each resources.
I hope you will enjoy my resources and if you have a question on a particular activity or slide, please do not hesitate to contact me or leave me a message. I would really appreciate some feedback :-) Thank you very much.

Easter egg hunt - La chasse à l’oeuf
A fun game to do before the end of term to make your brain cells work with fun enigmas in French! Everything has been created for you and all the resources have an editable version so you can adapt them to your own school. I have added some pictures of the game once printed to help you visualize it. I would advise you to laminate everything if you want it to last. :-)
Clear rules in English are provided and check the instructions under each slide of the power-point (notes section).
7 enigmas with 4 routes around the school (for four teams)
An EDITABLE power-point with all the enigmas and the material needed to play
Pictures of the final game to help you visualize it
My students completed it under 50 minutes and you can make it harder depending on the year group. I played it with Y10, 12 and 13 and they were all able to complete the game with the right level of challenge.
I hope you will enjoy my resources and if you have a question on the rules or the activity, please do not hesitate to contact me or leave me a message. I would really appreciate some feedback :-) Thank you very much.
